TENTMAKERS
Christians who go out to other cultures today for the sake of the gospel but who support themselves in secular occupations rather than expecting to receive financial support from a church or mission agency are known as "tentmakers". The term "tentmakers" is derived from the occupation in which the Apostle Paul labored on those occasions when he felt the receiving support from other Christians would hinder the effectiveness of his ministry or would be misinterpreted by the unbelievers.

Tentmakers are God's guerilla forces. Mission agencies are God's regular armies, but we need guerilla forces that can enter closed countries and infiltrate every structure of society.
